Daughter not flipping out over the Cornocopia Scene….CHECK!! Rue just died with minimal tears….PHEW! CHECK!! All of us put our hands in the air with the movie…geek heart swells…tears flow. My highly emotional daughter is doing 100 times better than I thought she would & tomorrow will start reading them. My son got the biggest kick out of watching someone else look around during the supply explosion.
In retrospect…maybe should’ve previewed WHOOPS
It’s a good thing we are liberal with what the kids watch. Hell, they are on the 4th season (or something like that) of South Park. Certain movies we deem to be a wee-bit over the line…that we won’t let them see. Typically if there is super-nudity is about all that will do it. Language is ok, adult situations etc. They know “don’t repeat it”. Sooo we saw The Dictator today. First off…it was FUNNY AS HELL!! Typical Sasha Baron-Cohen with the fabulous Anna Faris (who I am pretty sure is my doppleganger). If you don’t like Sasha’s comedy don’t bother though. But at times we were like “oh crap…kids…yeah…don’t ask what that means”. Really funny was my son laughing so hard at one point he said “I’m gonna pee” over Sasha’s penis hanging out.
So,that was our adventure today. All-in-all…kids had fun, we had fun. Now time to unwind!
Mindless humor & maybe a burger!
Going to see The Dictator with the hubby & kids today (yea Respite day). Most likely take them to McDonald’s after. Hubby has been eyeballing the Cherry Berry Chiller & we live too far from one to successfully get it home before it melts.
