Why oh why do I get into political arguments. Let’s face it, they aren’t debates. They become venom soaked hate speech. I should stay out, I know I should. But the little voice in my head isn’t as loud as the little voices in my fingers that start typing away. Those little voices seem to think that through kindness & reason I might get through to people. Those voices must ride the little yellow school bus! But maybe JUST MAYBE I have reached someone else on the page that is on the fence (do they exist?). Maybe JUST MAYBE I gave someone a new perspective that thinks that things are one way, but hasn’t gone through or seen what I have seen. Yeah, probably not!
I am going on record right now saying this: If you are happy with the way the country is, has been, and if the status-quo suits you…great. Vote for Obama. Personally, I am not happy with the way things have gone & are going. I am not happy with how things have been handled. I want to see someone else take a wack at it. If I am right & Romney can make a difference I am THRILLED. We all win. If I am wrong & things remain as they are, or get worse I will be the first to say I WAS WRONG. I would expect the same out of the Obama supporters, however I doubt that would happen after the things I have been called the past 24 hours. Either way, if Obama wins & makes good on promises made 4 years ago…we win. If Romney wins & makes good on promises made this election….we win.
